Day 1 in Hamburg - A Great Day!
We had our first day in Hamburg. The crew enjoyed their breakfast at the Hostel and then we walked "durch der Stadt" and ended up at Uni Hamburg for a great lecture on the adoption of e-books in Germany. Then the students explored Hamburg and so did the faculty and their kids. We are now re-gathering at the Hostel and head to dinner soon. Here are some pics...
The group stops for a postcard shot with the inner part of Lake Alster & downtown Hamburg in background.
The students listen to their fascinating lecture from Dr. Edlira Shehu from Uni Hamburg.
Dr. Kelley O'Reilly and her daughters, Sydney & Rachel in the Rathouse Platz in Hamburg

Hamburg .... a day early!
Dr. Newell & I have spent a great day exploring a beautiful ribbon of parks with our daughters.
Hamburg has a great deal of green space and today was a perfect day to explore it.
Hard to see faces but that is Dr. Newell, his daughter Kelly and my daughter Emily in front of three flads: EU, German, Hamburg. Bit washed out with sun, but still cool.
The students should be jumping on airplanes today and we will greet them at the Generator Hostel tomorrow.
